About SOCH

Since 2008, the Swedish National Heritage Board has been committed to working on an assignment from the Swedish government: Swedish Open Cultural Heritage, SOCH ("K-samsök" in Swedish). SOCH is a web service which harvests metadata from the databases of cultural heritage institutions in Sweden, indexes and links the data, and then publishes it, allowing third parties to build on and use the data via a web-API. SOCH is also a national aggregator for Sweden, to deliver data to Europeana.
